Boat Rental FAQ


To assist you in planning your safe and enjoyable boat rental, we’ve assembled the following answers to frequently asked questions. This information also serves as standard rental guidelines and procedures for most locations where you’ll rent your boat. Please let us know if you have any questions that aren’t answered here or if you need clarification on any of the points.

IMPORTANT: Generally all boat rental companies require renters to have a good deal of previous outboard powerboat experience in order to rent. For example, you need to have had experience operating boats of similar size and either single or twin engine experience with similar size outboard engines.
  • Renters must be at least 21 years of age to rent a boat.
  • Renters must have in their posession a valid drivers license.
  • Renters must have a valid major credit card in their name for deposit and/or payment purposes.
  • Renters must obey waterway rules and regulations.
  • Renters may be informed of ocean restrictions depending on the size of the boat and current weather conditions.
  • Renters will sign off on a boat checklist prior to taking the boat.
  • Renters will be responsible for any damage to the boat which occurs during their rental period and any missing items from the boat upon its return to our docks.
  • All boats come equipped with a U.S.C.G safety kit.
